What is a Dry Hire—and Why It Works in Your Favor
At On Tap Mobile Events, we operate as a dry hire service. This means we provide the mobile tap trailer, setup, and service staff—but we don’t sell or provide the alcohol itself. Instead, you (or your venue) purchase the beer, wine, or cocktails, you’d like served, and we handle everything else to keep the party flowing.
Why? Under Colorado law, mobile bars cannot hold a liquor license. Only licensed venues, caterers, or liquor stores can sell alcohol. By staying “dry,” we’re able to bring our bar experience anywhere—from private homes to outdoor venues—without the restrictions that come with a liquor license.
